What: Day hiking with llamas
When: We offer year-round hiking adventures
Meeting time: 9:00 am
Duration: 6 hours of adventure from arriving at the farm to returning to the farm
Meeting place:We recommend that guests start their adventure out on the farm and participate in rounding up and haltering the llamas as it provides a bonding experience and a sense of pride in catching the animal they end up leading.
Minimum age: If you want to bring children make sure that they can walk 3-4 miles or you have the ability to carry them. We see the most success with kids 8 years old and up. We also offer trips were we meet the guests at the trailhead with the llamas. This is a good fit for people who live far from the farm or for corporate type events.
Hike Rating: easy to moderate hike , approx. 3-4 miles
Group Size: Group size is calculated by how many people want a llama of their own, want to share, or just want to stroll with llamas all around them. We have the ability to pull two trailers that can hold together up to 18 animals.
Enjoy the quiet, joy and solitude as we hike along the Rockies. We’ll stop for a leisurely picnic lunch and return the way we came to enjoy more spectacular views. Our professional guides will enhance your adventure with their personal touch and interpretation along the way. We find people enjoy the easy pace of hiking with llamas. Let’s go!
