Jodi is the founder of Llama Llama Ding Dong Hikes.
She is a Llama lover extraordinaire and a true host and goodwill ambassador! Her farming roots began in New Mexico where she spent her summers at her grandparents farm raising and tending to chickens, …, …, and the like.
An avid hiker and skier, her true bliss is being surrounded by wilderness in the Colorado Rockies and now integrating hiking with Llamas so you too can experience the magic. She has created hiking for families at events called “Meet the Llamas”, “Lunch with Llamas” and “Loafing with Llamas”, as well as offering overnights pack trips where Llamas carry the gear! You can also count on her for weddings and birthday parties and special events that are unlike any other. Jodi has a special gift making others feel comfortable and providing an experience that will bring you joy. Her bliss is your unforgettable memory. Llama on!
Growing up in the Redwood trees in Northern California, Renny has been hiking and camping from a very young age. She has backpacked in Peru, Ireland, and the Wallowa Mountain range in NE Oregon, making her a well versed and accomplished hiking guide. She is “Wilderness Prepared” and trained in bear safety. The llamas at JK Hikes bring an extra-added element to the adventurist in her – a sort of cathartic therapy element as well as sherpa abilities – making it a win/win relationship for Renny as one of our star guides.
Marie is a “retired” school teacher who is fulfilling one of her dreams of owning a small farm. Although her farm was originally planned with horses in mind, some how the horses changed to 3 llamas and 2 alpacas along with 2 adopted indoor Himalayan cats. Her love for these fine animals keep her plenty busy for a “retired” life in Berthoud, Colorado.
Marie is also a life-time outdoor enthusiast — tennis, running, hiking, biking, camping, snow shoeing, x-country skiing, tele skiing, now a llama/alpaca hiker, and a packer with llamas/alpacas . . .
She also enjoys practicing and teaching hot yoga, writing her first children’s book, Lama Mama: A Llama and an Alpaca’s First Pack Trip, coaching high school tennis, and now helping as a guide for JK Hikes. She thanks God for guiding her path in life.
